Trip to Hong Kong

Summary: Had not planned this trip but turned out to be a magical experience for both of us.

How it all happened: {In- the- situation scenario} : September 21, 5pm @ office. I was pondering about how we should spend time the next 4 days {Moon festival} in Taipei. It was pouring almost infinitely in Taipei and the weather forecast for the coming loooong weekend had predicted similar rainy conditions. Damn! I was frustrated and desperately wanted a break.
Googled to look at other nearby places in Taiwan but none of the hotels were available. {Apparently we had to book 2 months in advance!...due to the Moon Festival}.


We got Lucky: Around @5.40pm with a heavy heart, I mailed Maria our travel agent. As usual I got a prompt and a quick response from her:

Only 2 places available if you can buy before 6pm today

Manila - NT$ 13,900 including taxes

Hong Kong - NT$ 7,300 including taxes

We chose HK!: Mayo and I had talked about visiting HK sometime in future . Booked our tickets @5.55pm (Whew! just in time). I was so so so excited!
